I've got a viral infection setting up house in my lungs. I'm not that bad to go to the dr. I just got off the phone with dad who's a respitory therapist and told him what was going on and how I felt. He said to take a straight expectorant and get ready to cough. My other home remedies, eating pineapple for vit c at lunch, keeping the humidifier running and drinking plenty of water is good and to keep doing it. Eventually I'll get rid of it. Been coughing up gunk for several days now. This morning I woke up and it felt like I had concete in my lungs and it wasn't going anywhere.

Several people at work are sick with this. One girl in sales had hers develop into a wicked case of bronchoitis and she's been out for a couple of weeks now. But then she's a smoker. The others getting this aren't.

Tuesday I think it was, I woke up and everything was wet like it had rained overnight. I asked a co-worker if it was rain or heavy dew. He says that we had been dew'd upon. Cute. The humidity was a godsend. I drove with my windows down even though it was upper 40s. The wet air felt good inside my lungs and my always dry skin drank it up as well.

Went to Rex's over the weekend. Did laundry there and realized this week that I have an allergy to his detergent so I rewashed some of my clothes. I told him about it and he thought he might have one too since he's been itching as well and he did laundry over the weekend too. Either that or his ex wife snuck over and put itching powder in the dryer.

It's supposed to be 65 degrees over the weekend.

Been home from work for not quite 45 minutes now. I've been sick with this coughing thing all week. It gets a lot worse when I lay down to sleep. It's non stop coughing then, cough syrup doesn't help. I've tried running the humidifier on high and keeping the heat down. Heat seems to make me cough more. But then I'm just cold and still coughing. There's gunk in my lungs, I can feel it, but it's lodged in there and refuses to budge.

Not long after I got into work an hour and a half coughing fit started. Water and suger free halls did nothing to relieve it. Finally I ended up in the bathroom coughing so hard I thought I was going to puke. Reg, the housecleaner, was emptying the trash when I staggered in, hacking. He stood next to me, fatherly rubbing my back as I splashed water on my face suggesting hot tea would help. It sucks coughing so hard you can't breathe.

As soon as I calmed down I gathered my things and came home. It's nice to sit and not cough for a whole 30 seconds.

We're supposed to get snow tonight. They've been talking about it since last Thursday when we were supposed to get snow, but didn't. The weather guys are all in agreement that it will be snowing tomorrow morning, but all sources are mum on how much we'll get.

I'm working on a cold right now so I told my supervisor that I might not be in tomorrow depending on how I feel as well as the weather.

Sad news. One of the kittens was killed last week in an accident. He adopted a another cat from the same litter. It's black and white.

I found this interesting about a woman who digitally tweeks porn found on the internet. Registration is required (NYTimes site). Basically this woman surfs for porn and when she finds a background that she likes she uses the clone tool and gets rid of the bodies leaving only peaceful still lifes (pardon the pun) behind.

I think that's pretty cool. I've often surfed porn just to see the backgrounds and also wondered, 'why don't they just use a plain sheet as a backdrop?' But I never thought of cloning out the people.

cool, huh? I would have never thought of it if it wasn't mentioned on the radio this morning. I'll try to post about my new years eve, it was by far the most interesting if not the best I've ever had.
